Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson broke down in tears during her session was therapist Mandy Saligari for Channel 5’s In Therapy TV show.
Opening up about her family life her mum’s decision to move to Vegas with a new boyfriend when Marnie was just 17 years old, she revealed she had suffered suicidal thoughts.
“I just wanted to kill myself,” Marnie explained. “I wanted to cry morning, noon and night.”
Despite wanting her mum to be happy, Marnie also explained that she went off the rails and stopped eating when her mum was away.
She continued: "The best thing I should have done is go to Vegas and lived with my mam, but I had a controlling boyfriend who stopped us from doing that. He was very violent, jealous and controlling."
Marnie also broke down in tears when opening up about her relationship with her dad.
"Sometimes I'd go to Nan and Grandad's and he wouldn't turn up," Marnie told the therapist.
"I just find it easier to block it out."
Fans then took to Twitter to praise Marnie for speaking about her past so bravely.

Marnie also spoke about problems with her health and revealed she’s been told to eat and drink healthily and curb the amount of alcohol she drinks.
She explained she suffers from ‘dry kidneys’ and an inflamed bladder – which would worsen if she doesn’t moderate her drinking.
“I’ve been told they aren’t the normal kidneys of a 24-year-old.
“If I drink alcohol it’s not going to heal."
