Cute Throwback Thursday alert! Remember the amazing film adaptation of Matilda? It came out in 1996.
We'll just take a moment to let you digest that information, and come to the crushing realisation that that was nearly TWO DECADES AGO.
Anyhoo, Mara Wilson, the actress who played Matilda, was also mates IRL with her on-screen best friend, Lavender Brown, played by Kiami Davael. And they're still buds now - Kiami posted this sweet snap to her Twitter page, captioned: "Lunch date with my sis from another miss":
It's so cute that the child stars are still friends nearly 20 years later - and they have a lot in common too - both have kind of stepped out of the limelight since their childhood stardom. Kiami is now a writer and singer according to her Twitter bio, while Mara is still involved in theatre and writing, but recently wrote on her personal website about why she had decided to quit a film career:
"I don’t have any plans to pursue film acting. It’s not my “thing” anymore, if it ever was...I love working in theater and have always loved voice-over, but pursuing a full-time live-action film career does not appeal to me."
