Matt Damon says it was ‘PAINFUL’ to be friends with Ben Affleck while he was dating Jennifer Lopez

Anywho, the *Good Will Hunting *actor Matt Damon spoke of his friendship with co-star Ben Affleck and how it was "painful" when Benny was dating Jennifer Lopez. We don't what that really says about Jennifer or Ben.

Matt claims Ben's public image at the time "couldn't have been further" from what he actually is like.

Matt told The Hollywood Reporter: "There's nobody who's more misunderstood.

"Ten years ago, the public image of him could not have been farther apart from who he actually is."

"It was like he was being cast in a role, that he was a talentless kind of meathead, with his whole relationship with Jennifer Lopez," Matt continued.

"He just got cast as this person that he wasn't. It was just really painful. It was painful to be his friend, because it wasn't fair, you know?"
