Matt LeBlanc will join Chris Evans as co-host of the newly revamped car show

Taking up the seat left slowly cooling by Richard Hammond, Matt LeBlanc will join Chris Evans in going "ooh!" at nice cars and occasionally talking about carburettors.
In a statement definitely not prepared for him by the BBC, Matt said: "As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I'm honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter. What a thrill!"

Chris added: "Matt's a lifelong fellow petrol-head and I’m thrilled he's joining Top Gear.
"Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas. We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on screen later this year."
There's still one presenter left to be announced, so we're slapping a crisp tenner on someone madly out of place, like the Queen.
One thing's for sure: Matt's going to have to know his way around a Porsche this time.
