After Paul Knops entered the Love Island villa in the summer and seemingly swept Laura Anderson off her feet, things seemed to be going well for the pair when they finished runners-up to Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer.

HOWEVER, just months later, Laura and Paul announced their split, with Paul confirming it was him who ended things, admitting he just couldn't see it working out.

Despite being dumped again, Laura picked herself up and landed Love Island 2015 star Max Morley, with the pair going official last month.

After the Love Island Christmas Reunion aired on Monday night, showing Laura and her ex Paul having a rather awkward chat on the stairs, certain news outlets reported that her relationship with Max was 'on the rocks', with a source revealing he was about to dump the former air-hostess.

But now, Max has put the record straight by admitting they are all rubbish on his Instagram Story.

He wrote, 'Just want to say a few words regarding stories released today!! Whoever the person is calling up the [tabloids] please to get a life it's embarrassing! Just hows how stories can be fake news! Me and Laura had a fantastic holiday in Barbados and are very much looking forward to Christmas! We would like to keep our relationship as private as possible to stop stories like this being written! But to clarify me and Laura are good, Merry Christmas.' [sic]

Thank goodness for that! 🙌

The news comes after Laura, along with fellow Love Island stars Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott, joined heat Radio's Emily Segal for a chat ahead of Monday night's Love Island Christmas Reunion.

The girls revealed exactly what went on between Jack and Dani, whilst Zara discussed her relationship with Adam Collard.
