Can you remember a time before McBusted? A time that, now, seems like an interminable age of dreary tomfoolery, punctuated by occasional loggings on to MSN Messenger and fancying two-thirds of Westlife.
But lo! Along came the best bits of two former boybands (soz Charlie Simpson, but you were off doing your own thang), and thus McBusted were born.
And the People looked upon McBusted and they said that it was good.
Anyway, prepare for your soul to feel crushed, like the tin foil off your baked potato you so casually tossed in the bin after lunch, because MCBUSTED MIGHT NOT BE AROUND MUCH LONGER.

In an interview with HMV.com, Tom Fletcher admitted no-one in the band really knows what’s happening next.
“We don’t know yet, we've got these summer shows, some gigs in Europe with One Direction and then that's it. We don't have any plans,” he said.
WHY GOD. WHY INFLICT THIS UNCERTAINLY ON US. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM US.
Bandmate Matt Willis explained a bit further that this is, actually, pretty standard for them, so maybe we all need to breathe into a paper bag and think mindfulness thoughts.
“We don’t really plan anything more than three months ahead, we’ve never known what’s going to happen, we know up until the end of the summer and then we don't know,” he said.

But, and this is a biggie, McBusted haven’t started making plans for their next record yet either.
“We wrote the album [their debut album McBusted, which came out last December] and we've just been touring that. We haven't written anything, not together,” Matt added.
OH JEEZ. OH GOD. WHAT DOES THIS MEEEEEAN???
Anyway, McBusted are back playing shows in the UK from 12 July until the end of August, so fer Chrissakes go and get a ticket if you haven’t seen them live yet.
