When she made the devastating announcement over the weekend that she and boyfriend Wes Nelson were splitting after six months, she was sure to reassure fans that their “incredibly wonderful hamster” Jon Snow would be well looked after, as the ex-couple agreed to “co-parent”.
But now, it’s been reported that Megan has gone back on her word and staged a HAM-NAPPING of the beloved pet, leaving Wes distraught upon returning home from training to an empty house.
“Wes knew something was wrong the moment he came home from a day on the ice and couldn’t hear the squeak-squeak of Jon Snow’s wheel,” a source told The Sun.

“It turned out Megan had swiped the cage and hit the road – days after asking for privacy for the hamster and promising they would be co-parenting the pet," adding that Wes had been "shocked" that she'd taken the hamster "without saying anything" after "everything she promised."
In the initial statement, Meg asked for “privacy” for the hammy, saying, “We ask for his and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We haven’t really conducted our relationship that privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parents, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”
Her words have proven to be empty promises as she appears to have taken on full custody of Jon, although the source did note that it might be for the best, as “Wes hasn’t got much time to play with him due to his Dancing On Ice training.”
Meanwhile, Wes has been seeing the funny side of the split as he’s shared some of his fans’ funniest hamster-related memes.
