Megan McKenna is planning on launching a pop career with the help of one of the team behind American singer Ariana Grande.
The Only Way Is Essex star Megan is working with a writer and producer who has previously written for the US star.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate told the Daily Star Sunday: "I’m still working hard on music and was in the studio last week actually.
"I’ve also worked on a song with someone who has written for Ariana Granda.
"That’s the sound I am going for - cool pop but can also be turned into a good club track.
"I’m taking it seriously and want to smash it, but won’t release anything until it’s 100% perfect."
Megan may now be known for appearing on reality television but she has tried to launch a pop career twice in the past.
She appeared in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009 as part of female singing duo Harmony.
The next year she joined girl group Lola which featured fellow former TOWIE star Jessica Wright.
Megan said: "The first step will be to release a single, hopefully early next year.
"The music has a cool vibe and is inspired by girl power. I loved Jess Wright’s music but I think mine will be a little less pop and with an edgier vibe."
