It was the biggest event in the TV calendar last night, as all the celebs hit the red carpet at London’s O2 arena for the National Television Awards.
But for TOWIE star Megan McKenna, the night ended unexpectedly early as she was forced to make an emergency exit and missed out on partying with her celeb pals.
Megan had reportedly been hooked up to a drip in the run up to the awards and was taken ill again during the event.
"Megan was rushed to hospital by ambulance with a temperate of 48.9 last week - and no one knew what was wrong with her,” a source told The Sun.
"She spent her time in hospital hooked up to a drip - that's why her arms are bruised - and was later diagnosed with infectious colitis."
Despite the shock illness, Megan turned up to the awards looking glam AF and was apparently ‘devastated’ she had to leave early.
“Megan was gutted she had to leave early, but her health has to come first,” the source added.
“She was rushed to Whipps Cross Hospital by ambulance, and is now recovering at home.”
