Megan McKenna hits back at body shaming trolls

And reveals real reason behind her weight loss

Megan McKenna is having a bit of a moment right now. She's recently starred in her own reality TV show There's Something About Megan, and her signing career is really taking off. She's currently got not one but TWO singles in the iTunes top ten charts. And they're bloody great.

But while many things seem to going pretty darn well for Megs, some horrible online trolls are still keen to ruin things for the Towie star.

After posting a series of photos from behind the scenes of her new reality show set in Nashville, Megan received harsh criticism about her weight loss on social media.

Megan even blocked comments from her posts after some nasty keyboard warriors even branded her 'anorexic'.

Now Megan has hit back at the trolls, revealing the real reason behind the sudden weight loss and explaining she was in and out of hospital just prior to filming There's Something About Megan.

"It’s not nice as no one would call someone fat, but they think it’s OK to call me anorexic," she told The Sun Online.

"I was so ill with my belly before I went to Nashville and I was in and out of the hospital and no one knew what was wrong with me, so yes I was thin as I was unwell."

Megan has reportedly been diagnosed with Irritable Bowl Syndrome as a result of her Coeliac Disease.

She added: "People need to realise I’m always going to have problems with this and not troll me."

Megan's success in the iTunes chart coudl be about to land her a HUGE record deal.

After hitting the top spot with her song High Heeled Shoes, and Far Cry From Love not far behind at no.2, it seems record labels are fighting to snap Pete Wicks' gf up - and she could even be signing a record deal this week!

A source told the Daily Star, “Megan has meetings lined up all next week with pretty much every major record label in the UK.

“It's not a case of if she will get a record contract and album, it is just a case of how soon."
