Remember Skins? The teenage drama filled with sex, drugs and binge drinking? Yep, it made us realise our Friday night gatherings at a mate’s house with a bottle of Caribbean Twist weren’t quite cutting it.
We longed to be as effortlessly cool as Tony, as mysterious as Effy and as sexy as Michelle. We were none of the above, but for six seasons we swapped our crappy lives for the fast paced, drug-fuelled world of Skins. Oh, how we miss those days.
Anyway, in series three we were introduced to identical twins Emily and Katie Fitch, played by real-life twins Megan and Kathryn Prescott. Despite looking identical, the sisters were wildly different characters in the show.
Now, it seems the twins have ventured down completely different paths in real life too. We recently reported that Megan and Kathryn look nothing alike any more, as Megan is pursuing a career as a body builder, something her sister supports but is not interested in taking part in.
To transform her look even more, Megan appeared on last night’s episode of Body Fixers. The former actor took part in the show in order to get a deep mahogany tan ahead of her upcoming bodybuilding competition, and flexed her defined muscles as she requested a dark tan to show off her eight-pack and toned legs and arms.
On the show, Megan stated that while the tan was definitely not a permanent feature it was essential to highlight her figure for an upcoming competition.
Despite this total body transformation, fans still instantly recognised Megan’s face and took to Twitter to congratulate her on the new look.
One tweeted: “Can’t believe how different Meg looks from Skins! Suits her”, while another fan joked, “I’d actually love to be that tanned all the time! #bodyfixers”.
We agree that Megan’s new toned bod definitely suits the petite star and think we need to appoint her as our designated gym buddy, but we’ll have to pass on that mahogany tan, thanks.
