Everyone’s gone a bit royal wedding mad this morning following the news of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement. It’s all anyone in the office can talk about and there’s already lots of speculation over who Meghan will choose as her bridesmaids for the big day next year. We’re keeping out calendar for Spring 2018 very free, just in case…
One of the names thrown in to the mix of potential bridesmaids took us slightly by surprise.
Former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh is reportedly in the running and we had no idea these two were even acquaintances, let alone bridesmaid-worthy BFFs.
But then we remembered all posh people know each other and a royal wedding is a probably a weekly occurrence in the MIC star’s social circle, and immediately felt very stupid for not automatically assuming this would be a thing.
It turns out Meghan and Millie have been firm friends for a while, and reportedly spent a month travelling together, according to The Sun.
They also enjoy attending work outs together.
“My friend Millie Macintosh raves about his workouts, so I’ll call her up to do a class together next time I’m back in London,” Meghan told Women’s Health back in November 2016.
The Sun reports that other potential bridesmaids include, tennis pro Serena Williams, actress Priyanka Chopra, Meghan’s friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney, Lindsay Roth and Princess Charlotte.
Millie isn’t the first Made In Chelsea star to be a part of a royal wedding. Spencer Matthews was best man when his brother married the Duchess of Cambdrige’s sister Pippa Middleton this summer.
