Mel B has spoken out to insist a Spice Girls reunion is imminent despite not every band member being on board.
Scary Spice as well as her bandmates Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton recently recorded a video to say something was on the cards to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary amid rumours they had booked out London’s Hyde Park for a huge one-off gig.
It was originally thought the trio would call themselves GEM after a video of the threesome teasing the reunion was uploaded to YouTube under that name.
But it seems they will stick to their original Spice name even if Victoria Beckham is planning to carry on with her fashion business instead and Mel C is saying she'll bow out.
Mel B told the Daily Star Sunday: "There is going to be an announcement very, very soon. Sooner than you actually know."
The girls are apparently yet to decide on a single to release but she insists there will definitely be more details soon.
Despite Mel B previously saying on American television that it would not be right to have an anniversary reunion without all five members of the group involved, Mel C has decided she wants to concentrate on her solo work and Victoria will continue her work in the style world, despite both being happy with their reunion performance at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.
But Mel B insists there is no rift between them, saying: "Mel C wanted to take a break and focus on her stuff but we have always been supportive of each other."
In an essay for LOVE magazine, Mel C wrote: "The hardest part for me was letting people down, the girls, the fans, civilisation?!
"Unfortunately something didn’t feel quite right and I had to follow my gut."
She went on to say that she has always struggled with the fame aspect of being a Spice Girl and that she much prefers concentrating on music.
Sporty added: "You see, I’m a singer and a songwriter. Not a celebrity. The two are very different things.
"You can earn a fortune being a 'celebrity' depending on how much dignity you want to keep in tact."
