Mel B’s husband Stephen Belafonte has upgraded her wedding ring to a massive £20,000 and has promised to replace it every three years. What a suave git, eh?
The ring has one large central diamond, surrounded by lots of smaller sparkly stones. Mel’s hubby revealed his surprise after Sunday night’s* X Factor*, she told The Mirror: “My husband turned up today and I thought something was wrong and then he just handed me this massive sparkler of a ring.
“I thought, ‘Oh my God’. It’s so big, it’s gorgeous, I absolutely love it.
“He’s very sweet like that my husband. Every couple of years he gets me an upgrade.”
The pair married in Las Vegas back in 2007, Stephen purchased the ring in Leon Diamond in New York and made a special trip over to present the ring to Mel. Aww bless.
To top it off, Simon Cowell has hinted that the star has a future on the ITV talent show, as he recently told her she’s now “part of The X Factor family”.
She explained: “Simon is very sweet, I woke up this morning to this amazing email from him. It was really long and he told me how proud he was of me.”
We’re all proud of you Mel, if only for being able lift your hand with that massive rock weighing it down.
