The Spice Girls reunion was 100% THE EVENT of 2012 (it totally overshadowed the Olympics, let's be real).
And the imminent reformation of Geri Horner, Mel B and Emma Bunton as GEM was ABSOLUTELY the news of 2016.
Apart from Hiddleswift, of course.
After teasing us for a while (hanging out at studios together and the like), they finally confirmed in July they'd be reforming for a concert at Hyde Park next year.
It was reported that Mel C wouldn't be part of it because of a fight with Mel B - and obviously Posh Spice is a too kl for skl fashionista now – so it's just going to be the three of them.
But now we know the real reason Mel C won't be joining, as she's herself confirmed it.
She said: "When the Spice Girls were at their biggest, I couldn't even really look at myself in the mirror because I didn't like what I saw.
"Depression, eating disorders, obsessive over-exercising; I went through all of it. It just didn't feel right to go back," she told the Mail on Sunday's Even magazine.
"I loved what we did as the Spice Girls and part of me will be Sporty Spice until I die. We had one reunion [in 2007] and I didn't want to do that.
"But I was talked round and it was the right thing to do, we had a great time and then we played at the closing ceremony for the Olympics in 2012. That to me was where [the Spice Girls] should have been laid to rest. Sometimes you just have to say no."
And when quizzed about the state of her relationships with the other members, she said: "It's a bit awkward at the moment to be honest. It's going to be, isn't it? But I do know we'll get past it."
And we reaaally hope they do <3.
