Michelle Dockery today paid tribute to her fiancé John Dineen, who tragically passed away aged just 34. At John’s funeral service in Cork, the Downton Abbey actress led the tributes to John, calling him “my friend, my king, my hero, my everything”.
Michelle said: “John was a man of great depth and integrity. Whether in his work or his personal life he was extremely loyal. It was clear that when John was in your corner he was there.”
The Mirror report that Michelle, 34, told the packed church that John’s “charm was legendary” and that he could “persuade anyone to do what he wanted”.
She finished her emotional tribute by simply saying: “We celebrate him, we honour him and we will miss him.”
John passed away on Sunday morning following a battle with a rare form of cancer. He met Michelle through her Downton Abbey co-star Allen Leech in 2013.
