Miley Cyrus auctions Caitlyn Jenner customised covers – raises $69,000 for AIDS charity

Miley Cyrus has put her eccentric artistic style to good use and raised loads of money for AIDS charity, amfAR.

The singer created three customised versions of Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover and auctioned them off at the charity’s swanky fundraiser in New York.

The covers, which were signed by Caitlyn, made over $69,000 with the total raised at the end of the evening said to be around £18 million.

“Tonight @MileyCyrus donated one of her latest artistic pieces featuring and signed by @CaitlynJenner - the first available autograph from Caitlyn herself,” amfAR wrote on Instagram.

Miley also gave an inspiration speech at the event, where she took transgender writer Tyler Ford as her date.

“I want to work every day to do something good for someone else or I will feel not only as if this honour has just been wasted but my life and all the influence that comes with it,” Miley told the audience. “I hope that one day I'm on this earth to experience an AIDS free world.”

She later added: “I just hope this makes my parents proud and somehow makes up for all of the s*** that I did.”
