After her unforgettable performance at the MTV VMAs in 2013 - you know where she shook her bum all over Robin Thicke and stuck her tongue out loads - Miley Cyrus is BACK, but this time she's going to host the whole bloody thing.

The We Can't Stop singer took to Twitter and Instagram to make the announcement to her fans by saying: “F*ck yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAS on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm.”
She’s a woman of many words. But she hardly needed words, as the picture which accompanied her announcement, of her dressed as a green alien (naturally) did all the talking.
Her split Insta-pic showed an image of the masked alien wearing a placard, which read ‘MTV WON’T LET ME PERFORM’. The other side of the image revealed Miley’s famous tongue pose and a new placard reading ‘SO I’M HOSTING THIS YEAR’S VMAS.’
The 22-year-old singer caused quite the controversy in 2013, after she performed her signature twerk on stage with Paula Patton's ex-husband, Robin Thicke.
Her performance resulted in Anna Wintour axing her from the December 2013 Vogue cover, but definitely put her name on the map and got the message that she’s all grown up out there to the world.
So, you win some, you lose some.
And in 2014, she won the Video of The Year award for Wrecking Ball (we preferred Greg James’ version, to be honest) asking homeless man Jesse Helt to accept the award on her behalf, making further headlines.
We seriously can’t wait to see what she has in store as the host for 2015.
