Miley Cyrus has spoken out about that whole Nicki Minaj/Taylor Swift Twitter beef that went on last month, and has made it clear she’s not backing Nicki on this one.
The Wrecking Ball singer – who is set to host this year’s MTV VMAs – told how she didn’t pay attention to Nicki’s tweets about the nominations as they were clouded in “anger”.
Peace and love, man!
Is that a point to Team Swifty by default, despite Miley outing Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video as a bad exampledue the whole violence and revenge thing? We’re losing track...
ANYWAY. She told The New York Times: "If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement.
"But I don't respect your statement because of the anger that came with it."
Boom. What a wise owl Hannah Montana has turned into, ey?
The 22 year old continued:
"And it's not anger like, 'Guys, I'm frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.' You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that's like, 'Eh, I didn't get my VMA'... If you want to make it about race, there's a way you could do that.
"But don't make it just about yourself. Say, 'This is the reason why I think it's important to be nominated. There's girls everywhere with this body type.'"
It's all about the bigger picture, people.
Well, Miley’s making enemies by the minute. We'll expect some awkward encounters at the VMAs this year then, yeah?
