Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green have announced the end of their marriage in a joint statement to The Mirror, which stated: "It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation".

The news broke about the pair, who have been married for two and a half years, on Saturday evening - just as former Made in Chelsea star Millie was being spotted at a London Fashion Week event - the Fabulous Fun Fair - WITH her wedding ring on.

The two have revealed that the split was a mutual decision and they have both insisted that they "still care deeply" for each other - the statement read "It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known that it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well".

A source close to the pair has also stated that "It is extremely sad that Millie and Stephen (Pro Greens real name) have decided to part ways. But they have managed to remain on the best of terms throughout their split and they are hopeful they will continue to do so".

Just last week, Professor Green went public about the fact that he had only seen his wife ONCE so far this year, and he has also previously spoke openly to *The Sun *about the issues that their marriage has suffered due to the fact that they rarely have time to see one another.

He said, following a joint trip to Florence in order to try and spend more time together, that "It was the first time I had seen her properly in 30 days. We had seen each other like ships in the night, but we weren't getting any quality time together. It is good sometimes to have space, but it is also difficult when you miss someone for that long. It used to happen when I was touring. You would have a day off and try and have the best day of your life. But then you'd just start arguing. That is a relationship".

Poor Mills and Pro Green. Such a shame!
