Apparently former The OC star Mischa Barton has filed a lawsuit against her mother and former manager, Nuala Barton - claiming she's a "greedy stage mother' who stole her earnings. Mischa has been acting since she was 8 - when she nabbed roles in The Sixth Sense and Notting Hill.
Barton's lawyer confirmed the news to Us Weekly in a statement:
"This action arises from the tragic tale of a greedy stage mother posing as a talent manager who, instead of acting in the best interest of her daughter/client, schemed to defraud her unsuspecting victim".
"From the outset, Nuala positioned herself to siphon her daughter’s hard-earned money by purportedly acting as her talent manager – a role for which Nuala had absolutely no experience or training.”

According to TMZ, Mischa's self-titled handbag line and boutique was also her mother's creation - and she got none of the profits. AND Barton was reportedly forced out of her Beverly Hills home.
The case gets particularly nasty when it's claimed that neither of Mischa's parents have worked for over a decade, because they "sit back expecting their daughter's hard work and dedication to her craft to support their lifestyle."
Who'd be a Momager, eh? Or a child star, for that matter.
