Thank the sweet gods of chickpeas, Nando’s have announced a supermarket sideline and we could not be happier about it.
The chicken-based outlet will now be selling Peri-Peri houmous in Tesco. Woop!
It looks pretty like a normal tub of houmous (yawn) but BEHOLD the dinky little bottle of Per-Peri drizzle oil. How adorable.
“Calling all Houmous and PERi-PERi Drizzle fans... This one's for you,” they announced on Instagram.
And it’s a bargain at £1.50, compared to the £3.50 charged for eating it in-house.
For those new to the houmous experience, Tesco has some sage advice, suggesting: “Drizzle smoky Peri-Peri oil over our creamy houmous and dip, dunk, spread or just spoon it over warm pitta, fresh bread, chips, potato wedges, cucumber - really anything. Kick your taste buds up a notch.
“Shake. drizzle, boom!”
Oh lawks, we literally haven’t typed “boom” since we tired of writing about Colin Newell AKA Heavy D, the self-styled Boominator, about three days after he was booted off Celebrity Big Brother.
We quite liked it though. BOOM!
