In the immortal words of Elton John: sorry seems to be the hardest word – well it is in Natalia Kills' case.
The now-ex X Factor New Zealand judge was fired this week along with her hubby Willy Moon after their OTT critique of Overs contestant, Joe Irvine.
In case you didn’t watch the first live show on Sunday, Willy (we really can’t take his name seriously) compared the singer Joe to Psycho serial killer Norman Bates following his performance of Cry Me A River.
And if that wasn’t enough, Natalia Kills said: “Ladies and gentlemen, I'm just going to state the obvious, we have a doppelgänger in our midst, an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted at how much you've copied my husband.”
She added: “From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value for respect for originality? You're a laughing stock. It's cheesy, it's disgusting, I personally found it artistically atrocious!”
Anyway, the pair both tweeted (sort of) apologising for their vulgar comments in a patronising ‘we have massive egos’ kind of way.
But X Factor supremo Louis Walsh ain’t got time for dat. Talking to Irish radio station RTE2fm, he said: “She obviously has no class, no taste, she'll never work again I reckon, honestly. I mean, who's going to hire her? Nobody.”
To conclude:
Until a few days ago, no one really knew who Natalia Kills was.
If an apology means blaming the whole thing on the producers, then she’s publicly sorry for what she and her husband (who we didn’t really know either) said.
And Louis Walsh is our hero. The end.
