Naughty Boy responds to Zayn Malik ‘fat joke’ insult: “Turning up the volume”

You’ve got to feel a bit sorry for Naughty Boy, really. He might’ve leaked that footage of Zayn Malik featuring in Krept & Konan’s No Type video, but he didn’t deserve to be branded a “fat joke” by the ex-One Direction singer.

But rather than lashing right back at Zayn, Naughty Boy – real name Shahid Khan – just posted an innocent picture of himself as a little boy.

“La la la #turningupthevolume #naughtythrowback ,” he captioned the flashback snap.

We can’t see how this is going to give Zayn back his chill, but maybe Naughty’s got a plan in mind.

Their one-sided Twitter spat comes just a few weeks after they apparently wanted to trademark the name Zaughty in order to work on a ‘streetwear’ fashion brand.

But a Sun source claims their closeness is the very thing that’s driven them apart, given that Zayn quit 1D back in March because he wanted to be “a normal 22-year-old”.

“Zayn was very close to Naughty Boy when he left One Direction. But previously they had only spent the odd day together once a month in between his touring commitments,” the insider told the newspaper.

“Now they were in each other’s company every day in the studio - and eventually drifted apart a few weeks ago.

“It’s a long time to spend with someone and the studio is a pretty confined space. Zayn is angry about the music that got leaked and blamed Naughty Boy. Zayn didn’t like not being in control. This has been the sparking point.”

That’s fair enough, really. But did it really warrant a huge Twitter attack on Naughty Boy, Zayn?
