The rapper and producer firstly added a picture of Aaliyah amongst the clouds, along with the caption:

“Attention!!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babygirl music we haven’t heard!!!!!! Well the answer is YES!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL!!!!!! Sneak peak coming!!!!!!!!”

That’s a LOT of exclamation marks – we guess he’s pretty excited. AS ARE WE!!!

And as if that pic wasn’t enough to send fans crazy, he followed with another image of the artist with a logo reading "Straight Outta Heaven".

Timbaland worked with Aaliyah on several tracks back in the '90s, before the singer’s tragic and untimely passing in a plane crash along with eight others in 2001, aged just 22.

During her career, Aaliyah sold 52million records worldwide, and has been listed as the tenth most successful R&B female artists of the last 25 years by Billboard.

In 2002, an official collection of new music was released in a posthumous album titled I Care 4 U, and now is the first time since then that fans will hear any new official tracks.
