Actress Jessica Biel has helped launch an online video series to inform girls on the facts of life, after discovering how little she knew about her own body during her pregnancy.
Jessica gave birth to her son Silas with husband Justin Timberlake in April of this year, but she admitted that when she began trying to conceive, she thought “Now what happens? I've been on the pill for so long; how hard will it be to get pregnant?”
She told* Glamour* magazine:
“Suddenly I realised I really didn’t know what’s going on inside my own body. It was shocking.”
The 33 year old explained that this is why she has teamed up with activist and founder of WomanCare Global, Saundra Pelletier to launch a new sex-ed online series.
The aim of the project will be to “share girls stories, fears and insecurities” covering everything from puberty to contraception.
The new mum also told the magazine: "You have to have the courage to stand up for what you believe in... We want girls to know what their [body is going through] so they don't feel scared or ashamed or gross.
"The tone is informative but also goofy, smart, witty."
Go girls!
