Niall Horan will join new judge Louis Tomlinson on the show
Simon Cowell picked Louis Tomlinson to join the panel this year and now former band co-member Niall has said he will be joining him to help out in the studio.
Does this mean he'll be aiding Lois when it comes to the judges' houses round, too? The Irish singer revealed his plans in an Instagram Q&A with One Direction fans.
One fan asked: "Would you like to join/ visit Louis on The X Factor?"
And Niall replied: "Of course. Can't wait to go down and see him in action.”
That's pretty much confirmation, right? Well, it's all the details we're getting for the time being.
But what we really want to know is: could a mini One Direction reunion be on the cards for the live shows?
As part of a huge shake up of the ITV talent show, Lois will join Robbie Williams and Ayda Field on the judging panel. And Louis Walsh confirmed he has left the show after 13 years.
So we wouldn't be surprised if producers pulled out all the stops for this series, including the reunion of one of the biggest boy bands this decade. Actually, ever!
The contest is also introducing new additions to the format, such as a golden buzzer (kinda ripped off from The Voice, but whatever...).
Plus, a source recently told The Mail Online: "This year each of our judges has one Guaranteed Safe Seat to give away in this round (six chair challenge)."
There's no word about Harry Styles, Liam Payne or Zayn Malik but, hey, we can dream.
