Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have now broken their Twitter silence about Zayn Malik quitting One Direction.
Louis commented that it had been a “crazy” few days and then thanked fans for their support.
And Niall practically wrote an ESSAY. A very sweet essay that will hopefully comfort heartbroken fans – at least a bit.
He thanked 1D fans and said he was super excited for their upcoming South African gig.
Sadly, Niall’s Twitter banner/backgroundy thing still has a photo of the band as a five-piece. Better get changing that up soon, mate.
With all four (REMAINING, sob) members of One Direction having now tweeted about the earth-shattering (well, for Directioners) news that Zayn has quit the band, Zayn, it’s over to you…
His official statement reads:
"I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."
But we want TWEETS, damnit.
