Nick Gordon found out about Bobbi Kristina’s death ‘over the internet’

It has been reported that Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend, found out about the young star's death 'over the internet'.

An US Weekly source said, "just like everyone else did, from the internet," while Nick was with his mother in Florida as the news broke.

Last night Nick's mother issued a statement on his behalf and said: "The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family.

"Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they've been apart.

"Nick and our family are in mourning, and we ask that you respect our privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with both the Houstons and the Browns during this difficult time."

The news comes after an autopsy was completed yesterday, stating there were no "obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted".

A statement from the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office said: "The initial portion of the autopsy has been completed.

"The autopsy does not show an obvious underlying cause of death and no significant injuries were noted. No previously unknown medical conditions that could have contributed to death were identified. Additional laboratory testing will be performed.

"Subpoenas have been issued to obtain needed documentary information.

"We do not plan to complete the death certificate or determine a cause and manner of death until all test results are completed and all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed.

"We anticipate that these processes will take several weeks."

Bobbi, daughter of Bobby Brown and late singer Whitney Houston, passed away on Sunday surrounded by family at Peachtree Christina Hospice in Georgia.

It is expected that she will be laid to rest next to her mother in New Jersey, following a funeral service in Atlanta.
