Nick Gordon has been found "legally responsible" for the death of his former fiance Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston tragically passed away in July 2015, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath.

Singer Bobby said he is glad to have some answers, telling People magazine in a statement: "I am pleased with the outcome of today's court proceedings.

"All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter's death. Today's judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon. Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on God to get me and my family through this."

The decision was made by a judge after Nick failed to show at two civil wrongful death hearings. A jury will now have to decide what financial damages Nick will have to pay to the late star's estate.

Bobbi Kristina's aunt Leolah Brown said outside of the court: "It's been a long time. They should have gotten him. He should have been arrested. I'm angry. I'm angry because I want to see some justice. Something has to happen and it has to happen soon."

Bobbi Kristina spent six months fighting for her life in a coma before she passed away on July 26 last year. An autopsy has since revealed that a fatal cocktail of marijuana, booze and anxiety drugs led to her drowning.
