Nick Grimshaw: ‘David Beckham thinks I’m a weirdo’

Nick Grimshaw interviews some of the biggest celebrities in the business. From international pop superstars to A-list actors and actresses, he’s probably spoken to most of them. And let’s not forget he’s BFFs with some of our fave celebs – including Harry Styles and Kate Moss.

But, it turns out that Nick is just like the rest of us and gets all star struck when he’s around big names. Including, David Beckham. Yes, according to The X Factor judge, he can’t help but lose his shit when he gets close to DB. We feel you, Nick. We’d be exactly the same.

“Whenever I see him, I think I am going to go and say hello – but I can never say anything funny, interesting or that even makes sense,” Nick told the Mirror.

He added: “He thinks I’m a weirdo. And I have met him a lot of times.

“I did this weird thing of not knowing whether to go for a hug or a handshake. It was somewhere in-between. It was a horrible interaction.”

We’re sure he loved it, Nick. Anyway, touching Golden-balls is never a horrible interaction.
