Nick Grimshaw dreams of having his own record label

Goodness, Nick Grimshaw’s CV is looking rather full at the moment.

Radio 1 Breakfast Show host, brand new judge on the X Factor panel, and now he wants to add ‘record label owner’ to his resume.

Grimmy, who actually started out in the big wide working world at a record label wants to begin the new enterprise with one of his pals Emily, but is yet to find the time.

Well in-between waking the whole of the UK up every morning and flashing that charming grin on national television every Saturday night until Christmas he’s bound to be a busy guy.

“I keep saying it to my friend, ‘Let’s start a label, a managing company, we’ll do music videos, we’ll do everything’”, Nick told The Sun.

"She’s like, ‘When are you free?’ and I’m like, ‘Emm, Christmas?’"

“We’re going to manage it. I’ve got next week off for the first week, for Manchester, because that would have been insane.

“I think, for me, The X Factor has always got so many characters, it seems so fun and it has produced so many stars.

“I can’t wait to get started on it.”
