We don't know about you, but we'd be seriously wary of accepting any sort of high profile X Factor job in this day and age – the public pretty much make up their minds about hating you straight away.

As you've probably heard (if not, where on earth have you been?), The X Factor has got themselves a new (and very old) judging panel that goes pretty much back to its roots. It's also basically the only line-up the public have ever truly taken to.

Yup, Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh (AND DERMOT O'LEARY!) will be gracing our screens once more.

So we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

Obviously we watched The X Factor last year (we'd still watch it if it had a judging panel of four frogs and Katie Hopkins presenting), but with the absence of bae Derms and most of the traditional judges, it wasn't the same somehow.

Simon Cowell obviously thought the same, as after the series drew to a close the newbies started dropping like flies (presenters Caroline Flack and Olly Murs, judges Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw, etc etc). Most announced their resignation, but we had a sneaking feeling there was more to the story…

And it looks like WE WERE RIGHT, as Grimmy has hinted that he and Rita Ora may have been booted from the show.

While hosting the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning, he joked that it was Rita's weird comments to acts that resulted in them being axed from the show.

He was on the phone to a listener playing a game centred around quotes said by Kanye West (which sounds rilly fun!), and one of them used was actually from Rita: "Your voice is really well baked, like a really good cooked ham."

He then told the caller: "Oh, that was one of Rita Ora's great quotes on last year's X Factor. It’s nonsense quotes like that that goes us all fired, Rita!"

GOSSIP.

We love a bit of Grimmy, but we're really excited for a good ol' hearty traditional round of The X Factor this year…
