As soon as it was announced that radio DJ Nick Grimshaw would be joining the X Factor judging panel, panic/excitement ensued that his confident character might clash with boss man Simon Cowell.

And rumours have been flying around recently that they haven’t been seeing eye-to-eye, after it was reported that the ever-blunt Simon was growing angry of an indecisive Nick.

BUT Nick Grimshaw has spoken out on the claims, putting the beef rumours to bed.

When asked abou the flak he's been getting lately, he told the Mirror: "That's kind of the gig, you sign up for it and that sort of thing happens. I'm still having so much fun, it's a ball!"

And when asked if he ever reads things that has been written about him, he said: "I don't really pay attention to stuff really. I read the papers for my job but I don't read it about me. If it's good, you'll go insane and if it's bad, you'll go insane."

You know it, brother.

So all is well in the* X Factor* family - phew!

Simon Cowell also spoke to the newspaper about THAT Skype incident on Sunday night's show, explaining:

"I sent him a text last night [to apologise]. I didn't know they were going to put that in the show. That was quite embarrassing. It was meant as a joke but it didn't quite come across in that way."

As is the power of TV editing, you should know that Si.

Simon continued: "Just for the record, there's always all this stuff about, we're getting rid of people, we're not happy. I am happy.

"I love the show this year. I love Olly and Caroline. I love the judges. We're always planning different things but no one is leaving the show."

SO CHILL, MAN.

Super-slim Chez rocked a 60s vibe in scalloped Red Valentino, Mary-Janes and a bouffy beehive.

Caroline Flack

Fresh from crowning Max and Jess winners of Love Island Caz Flack got her (very good) legs out in a leather mini and hipster Bella Freud knit. We love this hair style on Flack, so fun.

Rochelle Humes

How babe-in did Rochelle look in her orange suede Victoria Beckham dress? Expertly styled- up with a skinny black belt and strappies. Our fave.

Rita Ora4 of 4

Rita Ora

A loud Versace mini with sequins and pointy stilettos gave Rita a totally 80s feel. That sleek high pony works, too.
