The* Anaconda* singer explained she was really keen to become a mum while appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the talk show host: “I want a cute little fat baby!”

When Ellen joked that her baby could be anything – thin, chubby (etc) – Nicki joked, “then I don’t want it”.

This isn’t the first time the 32-year-old has spoken about her desire to become a mum, telling Complex that if she didn’t have children, she “would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother.”

All in good time, eh? But imagine having Nicki Minaj as your mum?

Nicki also opened up about her third album, The Pinkprint, and explained it was a different sound to anything she’d done before.

The album’s had mixed reviews in the industry, with some commentators claiming it was an “album she needed to write” but that listeners would be disappointed.

“I had such an emotional year,” Nicki added to Ellen.

“I was writing my album and I think I needed to grow as a human being, and because of it, I just feel more peaceful.”
