Call us overly dramatic but we're fairly sure we'd throw an absolute fit if we weren't invited to our own daughter's wedding... particularly if we were staying just a stones throw from where the ceremony was being held. But perhaps Nicole Kidman has a slightly thicker skin than us.

We recently revealed that Nicole and ex-hubbie Tom Cruise's 22 year-old daughter Isabella Cruise married her IT consultant husband, Max Parker, in a low key ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London. That neither of her super-star 'rents were invited to...

Well, it turns out Nicole is actually “very happy” for her daughter, and she wasn't really snubbed from the nuptials at all.

In fact, reports suggest Nicole and Tom didn't attend the wedding for a pretty sensible reason. According to People, Isabella, a make-up artist who has recently graduated from the prestigious Delamar Academy of Make Up and Hair in London, wanted to keep the ceremony as private and intimate as possible:

"Tom picked up the bill and paid for everything, but it was decided that neither he nor Nicole should attend as it would have turned the whole event into a circus."

But reports also say that this is totally cool with Nicole. Sources told People that "Nicole is very happy for Bella. She, like all mothers, wants her child to be happy, and it surely seems Bella is very happy."

So that sounds like everyone's pretty happy all round then, hey?
