Nigel Farage ‘got pissed and wore wrong trousers’ at boozy Gogglebox Steph and Dom party

A night at Gogglebox's favourite wine hounds Steph and Dom's house is always going to be wild, right? Somehow we imagine we'd be stumbling home in the cold light of day with posh cheese stuck to our hair and the couple's silent sausage dog Gigi squirrelled away in our handbag.

And it looks like we were right, as Ukip frontman Nigel Farage has finally got over his mega-hangover to talk about the night he was invited round to meet the Parkers at their mansion B&B in Sandwich, Kent.

Speaking to the* Radio Times*, the wannabe MP took a couple of deep breaths to keep his breakfast down before launching into his story.

“I had two, two and a half pints in the pub with Dom,” he explained while demolishing a plate of straight-up bacon with paracetamol sprinkled over the top. "[There was] steady consumption…[so] two pints, about five or six glasses [of wine and champagne throughout the evening.]"

He added: "I rather got the impression that they do this every day."

So as well as helping Steph and Dom drink a healthy chunk of their wine cellar offerings, the Ukip leader actually ended up wearing the wrong trousers after an ill-advised semi-pissed stroll around the garden.

He managed to stumble over a step and throw champagne all down his own trousers, breaking the glass in the process. Luckily Dom was on hand to throw open the doors of his magnificent wardrobe and let Nige borrow a pair of trews – he even considered offering the politician some "leather slacks", too.

"I like a drink but, crikey, these guys are professionals," Nigel added afterwards, wiping his sicky mouth with the sleeve of his suit after vomming into the couple's nice water feature.
