2006 was a simpler time. A time before Brexit, Bake Off heartbreak, Stephen Bear (as we know him now, anyway – he was probably at school or something), and a time when basically everyone in the world watched the best series of Big Brother that's ever been (presented by DAVINA MCCALL).
Big Brother 7 brought some of the best memories of our entire lives ("WHO IS SHE?"), and we can't help but compare every series since to its wonderful self.
It's a mark of how much we / the entire world loved it that we're still completely obsessed with everyone involved.
Particularly Pete Bennett and Nikki Grahame, who appeared on Loose Women earlier today.
If you have somehow managed to get through life without knowing who these people are (which is UNACCEPTABLE if you're old enough to read this), the unlikely couple got together during the series, despite their vastly different lives and Nikki's love of tantrums.
They obviously split up about two seconds after leaving the show, and they haven't had a great deal of contact since. As far as we know.
Anyway, we don't know whose idea it was to get them on Loose Women – but it was a great one.
It was also an awkward one.
They had a really awkward hug, then Pete said the following really awkward statement: "We used to see each other a lot, but then she got all famous and I haven’t heard from her. Where's my phone call?"
Nikki just kind of smiled.
Pete also invites Nikki to join his celebrity cleaning company (did you know he had a celebrity cleaning company? Read more HERE).
We think Nikki would be literally the last person we'd employ to clean our house.
