Popular culture, films and music has a great habit of glamourising the past and making a lot of it look hella cool.

The '70s? That was the decade of bell bottoms and disco. The '80s were all about mega-watt hair and make-up and state of the art gaming, and even the '90s have recently become cool, thanks to grunge and the “nineties kid” revival (seriously, we barely even remember it).

But unlike its parent decades, the noughties have yet to earn the cool points that time and distance affords. The skirts-over-jeans, cringey manufactured pop and clunky tech is still too fresh in our memories to have aged like a fine wine and as a result it’s all just a bit awks.

But the enduring symbol of the decade has without doubt been: The Hun. Difficult to define, The Hun is embodied by such '00s icons as Kerry Katona, Patsy Palmer off of EastEnders, and an amalgamation of all of early-era Girls Aloud (and Sugababes, come to think of it).
