Former Love Island star turned Insta influencer Olivia Bucklandhas opened up about her crippling anxiety as a teenager.
With more fans than on social media than we have listened to Look What You Make Me Do (but only just, cos we are obsessed), her looking BABEIN' at zilions of glitzy-ritzy events and bagging the man of our dreams with the massive trouser-snake (oh hi, Alex Bowen) it is a surprise to learn that Olivia suffers from social anxiety.
Of course, it's always worth remembering that A-N-Y-O-N-E can be suffering with their mental health, no matter who they are/what they do/what they look like. Kudos to Olivia for shining awareness on the invisible illness and helping remove the stigma.
Olivia first tweeted this post about social anxiety, which quickly became popular with fans,
In a string of heartfelt posts, the reality telly queen tweeted: ‘It’s surprised me how many people relate to my tweet about social anxiety! I have really combatted mine by pushing myself into uncomfortable situations. I used to be so bad I couldn’t eat in front of people.
‘Whether in public or just new people I didn’t know! I went through secondary school and probably ate at school a handful of times.’
Olivia continued: ‘Far too anxious to eat anything or buy anything to eat without over thinking or considering it for a good half hour. Didn’t realise for a long time that it was social anxiety. I’m glad it is spoken about a lot more now but there is always room for improvement.’
Olivia finished by stating she was on her Instagram stories for 'anyone struggling and wanting to talk'. Her tweets at the time of writing received over 1.3k favorites from fans and hundreds of messages, including one which said 'you're so inspirational and help girls like me out there'.
