Well, well, well, it looks like someone doesn’t want to be in Taylor Swift’s bad books – Olly Murs has apologised to the singer after making comments about her ex Harry Styles.
The lovely Olly was thought to be on the end of one of Taylor’s tongue lashings recently after he stood up for his One Direction pal Harry Styles, who just so happens to be the ex of the American songstress.
After Hazza, somewhat unsurprisingly, became the subject of TayTay’s song Out of the Woods because, you know, that’s the kind of thing Taylor does to her former blokes, Olly stood up for the boyband star, prompting T-Swift to smack down similar comments.
But, ever the gentleman, Olly has now issued Taylor an apology by writing her a letter just in case she thought he was talking about her. (Erm, Olly, we’re not in the dark ages anymore, mate. Ever heard of email?)
The former Xtra Factor host told Daily Mail Australia: “I reached out to Taylor around two days ago. I gave her a letter and said, ‘I’m really sorry… It came out wrong. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make any offence.’
“It always came out that every article says Taylor writes songs and they always link it to Harry so I was just making a joke and defending my mate.
“But there’s one thing – I’m not and I’ve never been sexist, I don’t think that’s right. It wasn’t nice what I said but it was a joke. I didn’t expect it to blow up like it did.”
So, that’s it then! EVERYONE CALM DOWN!
