Olly Murs breaks his silence on splitting from Francesca Thomas: “It’s been a difficult couple of weeks”

Olly Murs has spoken publicly about his split from girlfriend Francesca Thomas for the first time since news of their breakup came out, and confirmed he’s found it really tough.

The X Factor host appeared on today’s Loose Women and opened up about the end of his three-year relationship with commercial property manager Francesca.

“I’ve just gone through a break up with my girlfriend, which has been quite sad, quite a difficult couple of weeks,” he explained.

But, when questioned on whether there’s any way, any chance, any teeny-weeny little sliver of hope out there for us Carolly fans that he and Caroline Flack would ever get together, Olly crushed our dreams.

“Me and Caroline have always said hundreds of times (in interviews) that we’re never going to get together, we're just really good mates,” he said, firmly.

As well as stamping on our relationship goals with his steel-capped size 10s, Olly revealed he’d totally be up for a bit of smooching with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

“This is tough,” he said when asked who he’d snog, marry and avoid.

“Cheryl’s married, so maybe I could have a cheeky snog with Cheryl. Me and Rita are around the same age, I could marry Rita. And I might have to avoid Sinitta I’m afraid.”
