Cheeky Essex boy and incredible quiff owner, Olly Murs has revealed what actually happened after he left his job on The X Factor back in 2015.
The singer presented the ITV talent competition with Caroline Flack but they twosome left after just one year, due to a string of gaffes and Simon Cowell changing is mind every two minutes.
Olly has finally spoke out about the time after The X Factor and how that negatively impacted his mental health.
The Troublemaker singer told The Daily Star: “I was dealing with the pressures of this industry when I was first in the public eye… it’s not easy for anyone. And I’ve gone through worse since then'
"When I was on X Factor with all the stuff that happened it was intense. There was a lot of pressure on my shoulders hosting at the time what was the biggest show on TV.”
He continued: “It wasn’t serious depression but I had a difficult time. It could have got a lot worse."
"Luckily, I have a good team around me who saw I was in that place and they got me out of it very quickly.
“And being the positive guy that I am I moved away from it."
TBH we thought Olly Murs did a fantastic job, even if he did occasionally fluff his lines and accidentally told a contestant they were going home in the live shows, instead of saying the vote had gone to deadlock.
It happens to the best of us.
He also told The Sunday People in a candid interview that he has become a 'work-obsessed zombie' in the early days of his career and depended on alcohol.
Olly has been given a new lease of life and much to Simon Cowell's dismay (probably), the singer has bagged himself a voice-coaching job on rival show - BBC1's The Voice.
“I haven’t heard from Simon,” Olly confessed in a recording on Good Morning Britain. We bet he's not happy that he's gone to The X Factor's biggest rivaling show.
That's showbiz, honeypies.
