Things are certainly going well for Olly Murs – soon after speculation started to mount he’s being lined up to replace Dermot O’Leary as the host of the X Factor, it’s emerged he made a massive £1million last year.
The singer’s company made huge profits in 2014, leaving him with £1.5million in his bank account, according to The Sun.
After Dermot announced he was leaving the ITV talent contest last month, Olly was touted as the next presenter of the series alongside Caroline Flack, meaning he could be in line for a massive pay rise
But the star is still living the quiet life and only pays himself an allowance rather than splashing the cash he's made.
He previously said: “I’ve given myself a salary recently, because I think it’s important. For the first two years I was like, ‘Yeah, I’ll buy that and this. Mum, what do you want? I’ll get it for you.’”
Olly worked in a call centre, for a recruitment agency and in a jam factory before finding fame on the X Factor in 2009.
Congrats on all the cash, Olly!
