There’s a lot to like about Olly Murs – he can sing, he’s a cheeky chap and he’s, how can we put this, err, fit.
But, despite plenty of adoration from fans, the star admits he still feels unconfident when it comes to keeping his career alive.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’m always worried I’m going to flop. There’s always a song in your career that defines you as an artist and I’m still looking for that.
“I’ve had some big hits but I don’t think I’ve had the game changer yet.
“To achieve greatness you need a huge hit across the world and that’s what I’m chasing. It’s the same as winning a BRIT. You are seen as a more respected artist.”
Well, we respect you Olly. We respect you and your beautiful face AND your music.
The former X Factor contestant says he appreciates the support from his fans but is terrified they will desert him any moment.
He continued: “My fans are so loyal but I always worry they will jump ship. Loads of great artists have come back and are not selling records anymore.
“I know if I’m not at the top of my game there will be a new whippersnapper from X Factor to take my place.”
Calm down, Ollz. We reckon you’ve still got a way to go yet.
