Brace yourselves One Direction fans, the boys have confirmed that their new single will be called “Perfect”. And we might be a teeny weeny bit excited about it. Yeah, we're secret Directioners, so what?

Liam Payne took to Twitter today to confirm the name of the boys new single, writing “Look likes the cat's out of the bag!!! Our next single is Perfect. Can't wait for you all to hear it!”

The 22 year-old's tweet came after Apple Music's official Twitter account let the news slip hours earlier, with a swiftly deleted tweet that read “New @OneDirection. The next track off #MadeInTheAM is #Perfect.”

Whilst we certainly wouldn't want to be that Apple Music employee tonight, we're getting pretty excited about the prospect of new music from the boys. We've been starting to get a little tired of playing Drag Me Down on repeat (we told you we were fans, okay?!)

Liam's bandmate Harry Styles joined him in confirming the news too. The heart-throb tweeted fans “Our next single is called 'Perfect'. Looking forward to you hearing it, hope that you like those apples.” Oh Haz, we're sure we will like those apples, we think we're going to like them very much indeed.

The boys are currently on their fourth world tour “On the Road Again”, which will finish up in Sheffield at the end of this month.

Their fifth studio album “Made in the AM” is set for release on November 13th.
