We were pretty sad when we heard Zayn Malik was leaving One Direction but one Directioner took the news so hard they’ve now started up a fundraiser to buy the band out of their contract.
The fan has set the target at a whopping $87.7 million and is calling for people to make donations online after Zayn quit due to the stress of being in the group.
On the campaign page, the devotee wrote: “What’s gonna happen is we’re gonna raise all the money we can.

“IF we get the 87.7 mil we’re gonna contact Modest through their business email/in person and use the buyout clause which is on every Modest contract.
“Hopefully it works out and we’re able to give them what they want.”
Payments have started coming through and in just one day 105 fans pledged a total of $1,628.
However, the fan is aware the campaign may not be successful enough to raise the millions needed by the deadline of July 7.
She wrote: “If the goal is not met then we’re going to write cheques for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, NEDA and Comic Relief.”
The news comes after former band member Zayn Malik announced he’d left the band this week after five years with the group.

Zayn quits the band on 25 March. A statement reads: "My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart."
