Hell hath no fury like One Direction fans scorned. The fandom have hit out at producer Naughty Boy after it seemed like he alluded to them being "fake" in a tweet.

The hashtag #GetNaughtyBoySuspended started trending on Twitter following the producer's comments:

"Embrace a world where there's something to fight for, but this generation of fake fandom are doomed beyond belief. a change is coming fam! (sic)"

Whilst he didn't specifically mention One Direction fans, things have been testy between Naughty Boy and Directioners since he started working with Zayn Malik on new music.

And if you follow the hastag, things are getting pretty heated.

Last week, he angered them even more by saying these comments about Louis Tomlinson:

"There seems to be some needless provoking going on. Louis was deliberately adding to the provoking. I don't think that's fair. Especially on Zayn, that's not fair.

"Right now, there needs to be calm. He could have said that to be privately. Doing it openly is another act of provocation that's not needed."

Blimey. At times like this, we think it's helpful for everyone to remember this Mean Girls quote.
