We’re dreadfully sorry to shatter all your hopes and dreams on this rainy Wednesday morning, but we have to tell you that One Direction have heavily hinted they’ll never reunite.
And we very possibly might cry.

A statement from their company revealed that the four boys made £5.5million during their hiatus last year from “current and projected income is from existing residual agreements”, but that “going forward, no new income streams are anticipated.”
This is despite the bandmates Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles’ consistent claims they’ll reunite eventually.
Just last week, Liam Payne said it was “obvious” the group would reunite, and Niall and Liam even recently tweeted seriously cute things about each other.
Liam said of the reunion: "I feel like it's going to happen soon, I've got a feeling. I'm excited for it. I want it to happen. There was a whole album that we didn't tour, I know we need to go and write some more music. It was so much fun and everyone loves it so much so we have to go again, for sure.
And Niall added: “It’s only been two years, or less than two years [since we took a break]. It’s like two years in my life. I’m hoping to live a long life, so two years out of it is not a very long time neither is three or neither is four. We have to just wait until everyone’s ready to go again, we’ll go again. It’d be nice to think that we stopped at a high point, it’d be nice to pick up from there.
And just because it isn’t set in stone, doesn’t mean it isn’t definitely happening - Louis Tomlinson said earlier this year of the possible end to the hiatus: 'No one knows the answer right now,' he said. 'Everyone's just enjoying a schedule that's not as relentless and exploring solo projects.
