Former JLS singer Oritsé Williams has been arrested on suspicion of rape.

The singer is accused of raping a fan after they met in Wolverhampton following a gig at the town’s Gorgeous nightclub.

It is claimed the former X Factor contestant went back to his hotel with the waitress and her friend where they were drinking with him and another man.

A source told The Sun: "The girl and her friend are both massive JLS and Oritsé fans. Apparently Oritsé wasn’t drinking at the club."

After spending time with the star and his pal at the hotel, the girls left to go home but the alleged victim realised one of them had left behind a bag which had a purse in it with their money for a taxi.

The source told the newspaper: "One of the girls knocked on the door saying she wanted to retrieve her stuff and was let back in.

"It’s then she says she was raped. Police were called to the hotel shortly afterwards to a report of rape and Williams was arrested there."

Police confirmed they are investigating an alleged assault which is said to have happened on December 2.

They are now checking CCTV footage to see if they can see the two girls in the nightclub earlier in the evening.

No charges have been brought but a West Midlands Police spokesperson has confirmed an investigation is underway.

They said: "West Midlands Police were called to a Wolverhampton hotel at 7.45am on Friday December 2 after an allegation of rape and sexual assault was made by a 20-year-old woman.

"A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and a 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.

"Both men have been bailed until February, pending further enquiries."
